I started this blog as a creative outlet for me to share and talk about all of the little things that go on in my life.

Almost a year ago I gave birth to my amazing and beautiful daughter Alexandra, and since then I have been a full time stay at home mom (thank you to my husband Dax for making this a reality for us!).

Although being a SAHM is such a blessing for me and our family, it has done a number on my sense of self. Over this past year I have been doing a ton of reflection and been dealing with my shift in priorities. I no longer strive to climb the corporate ladder, but I still want my daughter to look up to me when she’s older and be proud of what I do.

That is what has lead me here, to ProskyCreative. I’ve tried to do many “side hustles” on this journey of self discovery (I guess you can call it that?). I tried to be a TikTok influencer, I started an Etsy shop (which is linked on my site if you want to check it out), I started writing a book, but none of those really felt like me, ya know?

At my core I’ve always loved creativity. Sometimes I can be found doing something with my hands like sewing a tote bag that lays flat into a picnic blanket, or doing a DIY kids play kitchen remodel. Other times I’m hooked on a new book and unlocking my Kindle every chance I get to devour the story. I love to try new recipes, especially ones that I can accomplish with a toddler at my feet. I guess I’m bit of a hobby enthusiast.

This blog is really just my way of sharing life as it happens. The projects I’m working on, the things I’m learning, and all the little pieces in between.

So what exactly am I going to blog about you may ask? Well literally everything (I know an SEO nightmare lol). I have many hobbies and interests that all of my other side hustle avenues didn’t fulfill because I had to narrow myself down. Not here!

At ProskyCreative you will find posts about all sorts of things. Some days that might look like a DIY project, building something around the house, or making party decorations. Other days it might be crafting, sewing, painting, scrapbooking, or working on keepsakes like baby books.

I’ll also be sharing recipes I love (along with my husband’s honest ratings), baby-friendly meals, and the occasional drink recipe. There will definitely be book posts too like what I’m reading each month, recommendations, and little journals about the stories that stick with me.

And of course, motherhood. Becoming a first-time mom, creating my own village, and slowly getting my pink back along the way.

Essentially this is my safe space, and I’d love for it to be yours too! So if you consider yourself to be someone of many hobbies, or are a first time mom looking for inspiration, or just simply want to be friends then I encourage you to subscribe and follow along on this journey with me!

Who knows, maybe in a year I’ll look back on this welcome post and be blown away by where it’s taken me. Or in a year I’ll have forgotten all about it and only got reminded because it was time for my annual website fee. You never know unless you try right?
